• To avoid unnecessary risks, in the event of damage  
to the plug and/or the power cable arrange for  
it/them to be exchanged as soon as possible.  
Intended use  
To avoid the risks of fire or injury:  
• NEVER touch the hotplate when the appliance is  
in use. It can get very hot.  
• Overheated foodstuffs could begin to burn!  
Never let the appliance work without supervision.  
• Additionally, NEVER position the appliance below  
inflammable objects, especially not below curtains,  
drapes or hanging cupboards.  
This appliance is designed for keeping food warm  
in domestic households and is only to be utilised in  
dry rooms.  
This appliance is not intended for the warming or  
heating up of foodstuffs or other materials directly  
on the hotplate.  
This appliance is NOT intended for use in commer-  
cial or industrial applications or for use outdoors.  
• NEVER attempt to warm-up tightly sealed containers.  
Due to heat expansion the container could explode.  
• This appliance is not intended for use by individuals  
(including children) with restricted physical, physio-  
logical or intellectual abilities or deficiences in  
experience and/or knowledge unless they are  
supervised by a person responsible for their safety  
or receive from this person instruction in how the  
appliance is to be used.  
Safety information  
To avoid potentially fatal electric  
shocks:  
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they  
do not play with the appliance.  
• When it is in use, take hold of the appliance  
ONLY with the grips.  
Ensure that the appliance, the power cable and  
the power plug are NEVER submersed in water  
or other fluids.  
• Do not use an external timing switch or a separate  
remote control system to operate the appliance.  
• Connect the appliance only to electrical sockets  
supplying a level of energy that complies with the  
details on the rating plate.  
Attention! Hot surfaces!  
• Ensure that the power cable never becomes wet  
or damp during operation. Lay the cable so that  
it cannot be clamped or damaged in any way. Items supplied  
• Always remove the power plug from the wall socket  
after use.

Simply switching the appliance off is not sufficient,  
as the appliance is under power for as long as  
the plug is connected to the socket.  
• Protect the food warmer from damages: The  
appliance may not be taken into use if the food Technical data  
warmer is damaged in any way.  
In this case, immediately remove the plug from  
the wall socket and arrange for the appliance to  
be repaired.

Appliance description  
• Position the On/Off switch 5 at “On” (--).  
As soon as the appliance has reached its highest  
temperature the control lamp “Ready for use” 7  
glows.

• Position the On/Off switch 5 at “O”.  
• First remove the plug from the wall power socket  
and then the plug from the connection socket 3  
on the appliance. The appliance is now inde-  
pendant from mains power and retains its heat  
for approx. one hour.  
First implementation  
Risk of Burns!  
Take hold of the food warmer ONLY by means of  
the grips 4 provided on it. The other appliance  
parts will be very hot!  
• Remove all packaging materials from the appliance  
and then clean it as described in the chapter  
“Cleaning and Care”.  
• Place the appliance on a dry, flat and heat-resistant  
surface.  
• Place the food warmer at the place where you  
wish to use it.  
• Warm the appliance up as described in the chapter  
“Utilisation”.  
Note:  
You can also leave the appliance connected to  
mains power after it has been warmed up.  
It could then happen that, during use, the control  
lamp “Ready for use” 7 briefly extinguishes itself  
and then glows once again. This indicates that the  
set temperature had fallen and the appliance had  
warmed itself back up.  
Note:  
On the first usage, a slight odour can occur (minimal  
smoke development is also possible). This is normal  
and stops after a short time. Provide for sufficient  
ventilation. For example, open a window.  
• Remove the plug from the wall power socket.  
Cleaning and Care  
Utilisation  
• Place the appliance on a dry, flat and heat-resistant  
surface.  
• First insert the plug of the power cable 2 into  
the connection socket 3 and then connect the  
power cable 2 with a wall power socket. The  
control lamp “Mains power connected” 6 glows.  
Attention!  
Before cleaning, ALWAYS remove the plug from the  
wall power socket! There is a risk of receiving an  
electric shock!  
Allow the appliance to cool down completely before  
cleaning it. There is a danger of being burnt!  
Do not use abrasive, aggressive or chemical cleaning  
agents. These could damage the upper surfaces of  
the appliance.

NEVER submerse the appliance in water or  
other liquids.  
Warranty and Service  
The warranty for this appliance is for 3 years from  
the date of purchase. The appliance has been  
manufactured with care and meticulously examined  
before delivery. Please retain your receipt as proof  
of purchase. In the case of a warranty claim, please  
make contact by telephone with our service department.  
Only in this way can a post-free despatch for your  
goods be assured.  
The warranty covers only claims for material and  
maufacturing defects, not for wearing parts or for  
damage to fragile components, e.g. buttons or batteries.  
The appliance is intended for domestic use only,  
NOT for commercial purposes.  
• Wipe the appliance with a damp cloth. For stubborn  
soiling use a mild detergent on the cloth.  
• The hotplate 1 can, if required, be cleaned with  
a special stainless steel cleaning agent.  
• Wipe off any possibly remaining cleaning agent  
residues with a damp cloth.  
• Dry the appliance thoroughly before reusing  
it or putting it into storage.  
Storage  
Store the appliance at a clean and dry location.  
If this product has been subjected to improper or  
inappropriate handling, abuse, or modifications not  
carried out by one of our authorised sales and service  
outlets, the warranty will be considered void. Your  
statutory rights are not restricted in any way by this  
warranty.  
Attention!  
To avoid potential damage to the appliance, do not  
place any heavy objects on the hotplate 1 when it  
is in storage.
